This is a scam. DO NOT give your information. I have reported to PNC. Scammers often comment on these types of sites stating that this is legitimate, check for yourself, it IS NOT.

Caller stated my PNC Bank card was compromised. I checked with PNC and this is in fact a legitimate service that detects suspected fraudulent activity on your bank card.

Called me and told me that there was fraudulent activity on my card.    Wanted my personal info.

I called PNC bank using the number on my debit card.    There is no problem with my card.    The caller was a scam.

The caller left a message for me to call caoncerning activity on my card.    I called PNC Bank before placing the call and was assured that indeed it was their Fraud Prevention (Security) Department.    There were a few fraudulent charges made on my account.    PNC canceled my card and will be issuing a new one.    Thank you PNC for such a level of protection!

It is in fact legit.    I saw all this conflicting info about it being a scam or not being a scam and got scared, as I had called the number back and found there was in fact suspicious activity on my account.    I called PNC customer service and they did have a record of my call to the fraud line.

My wife received a call from this number today. It was a recording saying they were calling about our PNC VISA card. We do not have a PNC VISA credit card, only a PNC Debit card that is VISA. I have called our local branch and reported the event and phone number to them. They will be pursuing it through their internal organization.
