Calls received from 866-213-7755 are from a medical billing and collections company. They contract with numerous healthcare providers throughout the US to provide bill collection services for the contracted healthcare providers.
The first time they called us was in early June 2012. We received calls stating we owed money for some outpatient radiology services for which we had not received a statement nor an Explanation of Benefits form from our health insurance company. We explained we had not received a statement yet. The representative on the phone seemed not to believe us, but hesitantly said OK. she'd be sure a statement was mailed to us.    We received the statement about 5 days later and immediately paid the balance due in full. Then today, June 29, 2012, we received ANOTHER call from them about the same claim. We said it was paid in full and that we had verified with our bank that it had indeed cleared our account. She said, oh, the call must have been made in error and hung up. This company has very bad business practices in our opinion!!

My calls from 866-213-7755 originate out of Gadsden, Alabama, and is a hospital bill collection service. I actually got a live person on line when I answered the third call, he gave me a call-back number which I did call and got the same person, and then looked up that phone number online.     We started getting these calls about 2 weeks after receipt of the hospital bill (which has been paid).    I called my real hospital who said they do use a service that is supposed to help people set up a payment plan.    The collection service could not name my hospital.

I know! I am only 18 days since my insurance company paid them. I have a program from my work where they pay what insurance doesn't, I told them countless times that I was waiting on that to come in. they still call me!
