  comes up on caller id as not provided. When I have answered the last two times I get nothing. Other times it is a recording saying they have been trying to reach us about our credit card account and to stay on the line. No one comes on the line.I just hang up. Must be a scam.

  I dont know who is calling me from this number, however i would like to know so i can see if it is someone that should not be calling me or if it is very improtant maybe a family member we do not know that might be calling.

  Just bought home phone service with Embarq last month, now getting a call every other day from this number. They always hang up ahead of my machine. Always says "Not Provided".

  Yeah, I got the same call from this number a little while ago, about a service call I had scheduled with them for this afternoon.

  Switch to Verizon or another carrier - this is the best way to avoid telemarketers Embarq's
