Regularly getting calls claiming to be doing a survey on behalf of the RBS They are very determined calling at all times of day and night. Told them I don't do surveys or pretending I am not the person they have asked for but they keep calling. As far as I am aware the bank do not do phone surveys. They have called twice tonight already and it is only 7.35pm. Going into bank tomorrow to check with them.

Misleading call to elderly people. When I called the number I was given another to call 01233 648453 to speak to a human, again a recorded message, they originally claimed to be the Royal Bank of Scotland. This is no doubt a scam, they claim to be part of the MRS group. I aim to give them a barrage of junk if they have a website, I would personally like to cut their throats.

Repeatly calling me trying to get me to do a survey for RBOS. I already did the survey and it took around half an hour. I told them this, but they still keep calling me. They seem to be too stupid to update their computer system.

Was called today by someone reporting to have detected a virus infection on my machine. I'm a software engineer so am well aware of these scams. I kept them on the line to find out what they were trying to achieve. Initially they get you to run the event viewer and take you to a screen where there will be error or warning messages. These are totally unrelated to the 'reported virus' but give them the ability to say how badly effected your computer is. It's so serious they get the supervisor to talk to you. At this point I ran out of time so said I was a software engineer and they just rung off.
A few of my friends recently had the same calls but all were aware of this scam activity.

They just called me this afternoon which I ignored but found info on other sites so I phoned them and have confirmed who they are.
The company is called 'Mark Group'. They are a company that specialise in cavity wall insulation and solar panels. They are based in Ashford, Kent.
They did some insulation work for me just under a year ago, very quick & very good, but not sure on the "cold calling" front.

Guys, this is a scam to get you to pass them what is known as a VNC number which is generated on you're PC when you sign on to the Internet. Once they have this they can take remote control of you're machine and plant trojans, scan you're information etc but often they try and sell you a product you don't want or need. If you're an IT guy like me and are in the mood have some fun with them otherwise hang up. I find this type of behaviour despicable!
