This is a company of debt collectors called Credit Security. Their website has no info whatsoever regarding who they collect for & they give no details when they call to tell you what its regarding. Yet another company who expects to be able to demand contact when you don't know who they are, where they got your number or what they want. I do not confirm my personal details by phone to ANYONE unless I have called them ie if I call my bank etc

Very rude.. Even though they have the wrong person, insist on telling me the details of said persons troubles and debts. They then hung up

I work on the other end of these calls, The company is called Grassroots. We are an Independent Market Research agency.

We are purely calling to conduct customer satisfaction surveys on behalf of an organisation you visited in the last 7 days.

If you was asked to confirm your name then that is because of the type of organisation we were calling on behalf of.

If you are a member of the TPS then these calls are allowed as they are not sales calls purely feedback, but you can ask the operative nicely to remove your number and we will kindly do so.

No need to worry or be rude to us, we are just trying to earn money to pay bills.

Thanks to all for supporting this Website.
Just had a call from Shane asking if I was XXXX XXXXXXXXXX. Who's calling? It's Shane, would you please take part in a survey?
Which company I asked...
I'm not allowed to reveal that until I know who you are....
I hang up and that's the end of the conversation.
I will be writing to Santander (I'm assuming here) and ask if they have passed my personal details to any other party.

Furious to have 3 missed calls whilst in poor signal area, caused a degree of concern and drove to higher ground for better signal only to find out caller was a survey firm. If Santander have given my number to a survey company I'm very cross and will pursue this with them during working hours.

just had a call from this same number and they did mentioned the "GRASS ROOT" name. Knowing me I am always paranoid of strange number calling my phone so when they ask for my name I always tell them to leave a message and "she" will call them back.
In doing so, if they are of any importance to me then I will call them back. I will be looking out for this call again and will swing them on with wrong info

Woman I spoke to sounded very angry.    They called ME, asked me to identify myself, were not prepared to give any information beyond the name of the    company.

When I asked for some kind of proof of why they were calling she hung up the phone.

Be warned - Grass Roots called our home number asking for my daughter on behalf of Santander - our number has NOT been given to Santander, so where did they get it from?? I asked for number and name to return the call but they said their details were confidential and hung up. Within one week of the call my daughter's bank accounts were hacked in to - very strange. Have reported them to Santander Fraud Office and have told Grass Roots this as well. They tried a call again last night and I told them this was a matter for Santander Fraud and the Police.

Really hacked off by these people - call didn't get picked up our end, but I have received a call like this in the past.    What makes me laugh is that they phone ME and then ask ME to identify myself - erm, like I said, they phoned me so surely they know who I am!!!!     Like one person on here, they better not phone back as I will be waiting with guns blazing.

They seem to be chasing a debt from a Building Society from somebody who has never lived here although we may have inherited their phone number 6 years ago. Thankfully I am with a phone company that allows me to block numbers so bye bye Credit Security.
