English educated and polite, unflappable man rings and gives a name e.g. Paul. If man answers he asks to speak to wife. If questioned he says it is a survey about her bank account. Will not name bank. Dose not name wife. Says he works for Nunwood survey company but cannot prove it.

He does not stop at one call and rings at inconvenient times. I am ex directory and signed with Telephone preference service. He may just try numbers at random. Number is at Hastings. Needs tracking down and dealing with.

Essential not to respond and do not ring back

Have had at least 10 calls from this number in the last 2 weeks. One was at 8.30 on a Saturday morning. Never answered but only get engaged tone when I ring back. Seems a bit dodgy.

I have been called 4 times from this number, all while in Italy and no one answers when I do answer.    I will ignore it now. No voicemail left.

This is MacKenzie Hall Debt collectors, using fake local numbers to trace people and/or collect debts. They have set up, in numerous cities, a number of 'ring-back' numbers. This makes the call they make to you appear 'local' rather than coming from their main location. When you dial the number, the call is auto-routed to their office. This is yet another of their bizarre and underhanded practices of harassment as they aggressively attempt to destroy the sanctity of people's homes in their endeavour to extract money from people who have genuine and documented disputed accounts over six years old.

Ok so my Phone rang for the 10th time and I managed to not be working and answered. Couldn't believe it when they offered me a cheap rated stag do. Very hard sell.    Wouldn't have minded if I hadn't been married for 3 years. Spoke to a guy called adolf which obviously was a little comical bearing in mind that he was ringing from Hastings and these where the last 2 major invasions/or attempts at least.. Hung up as didn't want to antagonise another by staying on the line and them tracking my signal!!! Xxx
