I don't know who called me but the call lasted like 10 minutes! NON-STOP! I am so confused. I know normally that you get cut off after a certain amount of time and have to call again but for this number that didn't seem to apply...:S

Anyway... When I finally did pick up they hung up. f:-king pests!

Careful, there is scam at the present which involves a company calling you on an 01634 888000 number or 01634 401221, your number will ring and then cut out. If you redial the number it will go to an answer machine which you cannot hear very well and suddenly you will have lost your phone credit this is probabaly a premium number. Suggest you dont ring it.

If you are registered with the Phone Preferential Service    let them know Vanquis keep sending you automated messages and that they ask you for bank details to confirm your account. I'm not that stupid but some people will be. I had actually just applied for a credit card.

They called my mobile yesterday but left no message.    Same thing happened again today.    I've had marketing calls from the Telegraph before so I think it probably is them.    Thanks to those who posted this information.

i live in the other side of the UK, no idea who this could be. Didn't answer got but left a voicemail, first starting off as someone from PC world saying my laptop's ready to be picked up at 4.27? and loads of random stuff then about to just bring the pineapple and tie it down with the surfboard? the he said(in his obviously fake australian accent) 'so if your name begins with..' and was then interrupted by his mate and was told he had to go?
