You're all complete idiots and ignorant pigs. Barclays Telephone research centre is used as a part of Barlays to find out how satisfied and or dissatisfied you are with the service you're receiving from them to help improve it in the future. The TPS stops sales and marketing and NOT research, if you'd actually read the terms and conditions before signing up, you would know this. Stop being so pretentious, it is not and never will be illegal to cold call people, and in actual fact it's a very helpful method of communication. You only have to be polite and say no thank you.

I just had a call from this number. The only thing I can think is that I had to give my number to a market researcher to arrange an appt time, cos she needed to interview me for the British Crime Survey (and I had a letter from the Home Office that it was a legal obligation, so couldn't wriggle out of it either), apart from her I don't ever give my number out (?) and I wouldn't have done had their been a choice :-/
