This number is one used by intruder alarms checking in with a control centre. Completely normal if you have an alarm installed.

this is a credit card protection firm - NOT (I would consider) a telephone pest - there's plenty out there who are pests though!

Its a scam. They call and dont even meet the most basic regualtions about disclosing who they are calling from and why, and how your data will be used. This is a legal requirement. The company itself does nthing but pass your details on and take a finder's fee. I suggest you complain to the Ministry of Justice (see link) and get these idiots shut down. Failing that, UK Legal will be online somewhere and you can complain direct.

The company is called fusion consumer solutions and they are a ppi claims company, they also charge an upfront fee of £495 and if they win your claim will take a 25% cut, i tried to cancell on 3 occasions within the 14 day period but they are very manipulative, persuasive and harassing, they basically wont take no for an answer and keep chipping away until you agree to go ahead with the claim, they knew i was a single mother with little income but they obviously dont give a s**t, i am now 2 months into this god damn nightmare and severely into my overdraft because they have my money. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!!

There are numerous complains re this company and their sales methods. Approximation to truthfulness probably as close as hong kong is to dublin. Ignore TPS regs, blaming their data / info sources. The ICO and TPS seem to be very tardy in dealing with them.
