This is a genuine HSBC fraud prevention number. I was dubious when I listened to my voice mail so I contacted HSBC on the number on their website 08457404404 and they confirmed that it was a genuine call and transferred me straight away. Someone had hacked my debit card details and were trying to use it online. They sorted it and were very helpful

Directline Claims Centre - no idea why they called as I don't have a policy with them. Been on hold for 15 minutes waiting to get a person!

Having dealt with this company the staff that called me back were extremely helpful and provided me with some really good financial advice about my life insurance. I was initially contacted by a male which then followed a callback from a financial advisor the staff seem to be very professional and helped me put my finances in order. I have been dealing with this company for over a year and have had no complaints - after being very cautious initially i was pleasently surprised with the call process by the advisors. I would recommend them to anyone and am truly surprised at the bad reception that has been accumalated

A person called Marcus rang from this number asking for my wife. He pretended he was replying to a query about life insurance and pension. He then asked if I had life insurance. When I said this is a cold call the line went dead. I tried to find out what company this is but my search showed no results

Received call from 0845 2862717 on 23 Jul 2013 at 7.00pm asking for me by my first name. I was suspicious as it seemed like a call centre in India or the likes. They didn't introduce themselves. I just said it wasn't suitable to talk at that moment and didn't ask what it was about. I did 1471 and given the above number. I dialled this number preceeded by 1571. A guy answered and just said 'hello' without giving a company name. This has made me all the more suspicious about this number.

Bet 365 survey call.

They confirm details with you to prove its them. They said they would match my next deposit upto £25 after i answered a couple of questions and gave them some feedback. My card details where out of date with them so i asked them to call me back when i had updated them myself. They called me back and matched my deposit. Dont ignore folks!

This is a real number for HSBC fraud team. I had the call today. They had just spotted some unusual transactions on my account, and wanted to be sure it was me that had done them.

This number belongs to Purple Parking (an Airport Car Parking provider). You use it when you arrive back from your trip, to let you know you're in the airport and have passed customs and taken your bags.
It's a legitimate business and I never heard about it spamming people.
In fact I use them for my airport car parking needs while I'm on business out of country.

This is a genuine HMRC number - used by their debt management unit for both inbound and outbound calls. It's NOT a scam.

I dont think this is HMRC - I think this is a scam! They called us and told us to call them back the next day at 8pm and refused to explain themselves or tell us what it was about unless we answered the 'security answers', including our National Insurance Number - HMRC have never asked us to do this before and have always contacted us in writing. They told us that we had an outstanding payment but we told them that this is in dispute and that we have a meeting with HMRC next month regarding this. They just continued asking us to confirm the their answers. The more I am looking into this, the more it looks like a scam. HMRC would send you letters, usually an endless amount of them! DO NOT GIVE THESE GUYS ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION
