SCAM -    I got a message on my answering machine from some guy saying he was John White calling from the IRS and it was urgent I call him back today or a warrant for my arrest would be put out.    I was looking forward to having some fun with this jerk and call him back and play around with him about how scared and concerned I was and beg him not to arrest me.    But I only got a message when I called the jerk back.
Don't ever fall for this stupid trick as the IRS does not call people.    If they have an issue with you, they will send you lots of letters and then they will start sending you certified letters.    So please don't ever fall for any stupid jerk trying to call you saying he is from the IRS demanding money from you or you will be arrested.    Just tell them to go ahead and send the police over as you want to talk to them anyway.

Missed a call from this number. Called back and it put me on an automated system that started asking me if I was Dale. I hit #1 for yes. Then it asked me my billing zip code and I hung up.

Yep, another "fake" Microsoft support call saying my computer was "hacked". Well guess what, jokes on them, I was prepared and started up an old copy of Windows XP in my VM and recorded everything they did. Everything. Heck, I even did a packet capture with wireshark and got a pcap dump!

Got a call from a "private" number, claiming they were Microsoft and saying our home computer had been hacked. When asked for the number, I was put on hold for a few minutes, and from what I could make out of his accent, his name was "Tiev".

Claims to work for Microsoft, then gives website as help4windows.com, which is an unregistered domain name. Defrauded my customer of $140 after convincing them they had a virus.

Claims to be Hollywood director Jace Alexander. I've talked to the real Jaces agents and this guy is a fake. He is inappropriate with women and tries to get them to send him nude pics. I've reported him.

Okay, so this lady called me from a Hobbs, NM phone number and gives me this number from California to call her back on about a debt that I know nothing about. She did not state her name or anything. She just says "this is intended for __________ and spouse" which was weird. And tells me to call her back. Seems unreal.

We received a call today from George Goldsmith stating his company has now expanded into the Concord area and he wanted to know if I was interested or anyone I know may be interested in a job opportunity in personal financing services.    He asked if I could refer any friends or family .    I felt this was a scam of somekind.    Who calls unknown people offering a job?

This man sam called me and said that he needed to speak to the owner of my company. I said "I apologize sir, He is in a meeting. Can I take down your name, number, and a brief message." He then said "My name is Sam Dailey and I need to speak with the owner of your company." I replied, I am sorry sir, he is in a meeting, what is this in reference to? He said "a Merchant account, but like I have already told you I need to speak to the owner of the company." I said "well I can give him this message but I need to know the name of the company and what this merchant account is in reference to." He then proceed to become loud and aggravated with me and said "I don't know why you are getting smart with me. I demand to be transferred to the owner RIGHT NOW." I said that once again he was in a meeting but that if he was going to be rude to me I wouldn't be delivering the message. He yelled at me and said "you don't deserve to have your job, give me to the owner." I said "the owner is my dad, I'll interrupt his meeting, tell him I don't deserve my job and that you would like to speak to him. I then yelled "DAD!" and Mr. Dailey hung up. I told my father and we tried to call Mr. Dailey back on the work phone, he ignored it. My dad called him back from my cell phone and he answered and then hung up. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE

Caller said he was from Microsoft and that my system was generating a virus and that they wanted to assist me.    I assumed it was a scam call and I didn't give him any information but said I would have my IT person contact him, if he gave me his name and number. .He provided the 209 number referenced by other complaintants and said his name was Robin Smith.

This is a scam caller trying to get credit card information and access to my computer.    He advised me that I had a virus on my computer and wanted to assist in the removal of the virus.    He did give me the name of Alex Smith, but with his heavy accent, I knew that was a phony name.    This is the number that showed up on my caller ID.    When I asked him for his phone number, he hung up on me.
