Male caller mispronounced my name, he had accent that sounded like an Indian or Bangladeshi speaking English.    Said he was "Capt Steve Johnson" and that he was calling because there was a legal investigation against me, was I aware of that?    Very aggressive in tone.    I said, this is my work number, call me at my home number and I hung up on him.

They did call me on my work number, I only answered because it was a regional area code.    After hanging up it showed as "unavailable" but in our phones, the actual number displayed when I chose to call back.    It rang twenty times without anyone answering.

Googling that phone number returns multiple pages for a business called "FBI Poulsbo" which is described as an insurance company, a private detective agency, a financial services firm, and other things.    SCAM SCAM SCAM

Calls multiple times. Caller ID says "Reality Media." I don't answer calls from unknown numbers, and they don't leave a message.

Says they are a company, Vacation International stating although others have said that they are Worldmark that you won a free three day trip to Las Vegas or Southern California (airfare, hotel, entry tickets to Disneyland) so you'll listen to them for 90 minutes in Tukwila, WA and other location trying to sell you a time share. Unfortunately, my entry was four years ago at the Seattle Home Show and they refuse to send anything in writing, e-mail, or fax. They ask a series of intrusive questions about finances, marital status, home ownership, etc.

While stringing "Carmen" along by telling her I had to go find my credit card, I heard her fellow parasites in the background (while on the toilet and taking a dump, thus making constructive use--at my end--of Carmen's holding time, she was even too stupid to recognize the sound of the flushing toilet for what it was) asking people for their dates of birth, and last four digits of their Social Security numbers.

Date of birth is personally identifying information that identity thieves use. It is clear that "Carmen from Cardholder Services" is a credit card thief, an identity thief, or both, and should be treated as such.

Never ever give any identifying information to anyone who cold calls you to tell you they can save you money because of the stimulus or for any other reason!. There ain't no such thing as a free lunch! These people are crooks who pay no attention to do not call lists, after all why should they? They are simply after your name and credit card so they can go on holiday at your expense. The best thing to do is to not answer such calls or, if you do, hang up immediately. When they call on my cell phone I add their number to an entry named IGNORExx so I can see who's calling and ignore them. I hear there are apps for smart phones that will filter ignored calls automatically.
