The IRS phone scam that ends wishing one to take care is alive and well using 585 310 3834 and bothering an AT&T cell phone on a chilly November 2014 morning.

We let the answering machine pick up, as we listened ... an automated computer generated voice told us we owe money to the IRS and it must be paid promptly. Said threats like we could lose our license or be arrested, and it was imparative to return the call ... it was a long message, but this was the gist of it. We live in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and our caller ID registers the call as coming from YMAX COMMS CORP 585-633-1792 We know it is a scam, hoax, ect ... I thought it was odd that at the end of the call, the automated computer generated voice told us to "take care". I hope the REAL IRS finds these people and turns them every which way but lose!

Fraudulent Scam.     Guy claims to be an investigator threatening to sue and they are filing a "summons" and civil affidavit if I don't call them by morning which would result in an executed judgment being filed against me.    They called my work and left a voice mail with this garbage which is so very illegal!    His name was ALLEN LEE MAXWELL and he had a strong Bronx NY accent.    Report to FBI, Attorney General, FTC, etc.

This guy lives in raggly apartments on Harding Place, Nashville tn. Calls for an outcall. Once you get there he will turn off phone and not answer the door. This has happened to a couple of girls including myself. Don't bother. He is a time waster!

Received calls from daily for 2-3 weeks. Since I didn't recognize the number, I always let the call go to voicemail; however, they never left a message. When I finally did pick up, the caller immediately asked me to confirm my identity and social security number, and refused to identify themselves (actually hung up as soon as I asked who was calling). When I re-dialed, my call went straight to their voicemail (the message sounded like "FMS", which I assume is "Financial Management Services" - i.e., a debt collector). Debt collection agencies are required to identify themselves as such upon being asked; this leads me to believe that this caller is A) a scammer, or, B) an incredibly shady debt collection agency walking a fine line with regards to FTC law.
