This is a collect call from an inmate at the Prince William County Detention Center located in Manassas, Virginia. This county apparently still belongs to the Kingdom of Great Britain. I'm still recovering from the shock and horror of discovering that this has been going on right under our noses the whole time. And this is not an isolated incident, I have found other counties in Virginia, and across the United States that are still under the British Crown!

Perhaps the inmate calling you collect from the Detention Center in Prince Williams County was unaware of the fact he or she was on foreign soil and offended The Crown, and is now being held as a political prisoner and subject to Her Majesties whims. Oh God I prey ye strike down those dirty Brits!

calls, does not answer-hangs up    when you speak. DO NOT answer this caller.Once you do, they know it is a live number and sell your info to other telemarketers! I won't be answering anymore calls that I do not know!

it is possible scam.......wanting to lower interest rates on
your credit card.     Probably not a good idea to give them
any information.

If this call is legitimate, why doesn't the name show up of who's calling!    Your telling us its a charitable donation company using a Woodbridge, VA exchange number.    What you forgot to tell us is where is the charitable donation company located at?    India? California?

7038290487 calls me several times every day.    Since we now know that the Do Not Call list is a total fraud the answer would seem to be to have all of one's e mail contacts be apprised of the number so they can contact their respective state attorney generals and report the number.

I realize this is not something everyone can do but it solves all my annoyance calls.    Like most people who are bothered enough to inquire, I detest this abuse and the Do Not Call registration has little impact....and it does not apply to "political cause" calls.    Your number is easily obtained and purchased cheaply.    In addition, if you have ever contacted a politician or given your information for a cause, then your info is out there and shared with others of similar ilk.    Anyway, here is how I took care of the problem.    For the last five years I have used a Panasonic wireless phone that will store up to 250 numbers on a blocked caller list.    By pushing a few buttons the number is permanently blocked.    When they call back it rings once and that's it.    The phone displays the caller number and a symbol showing it was blocked.    I enjoy knowing I have beat the pricks.    Usually they will call once or twice more before stopping.    My guess is their equipment senses the block and removes my it.    Also, any caller with blocked numbers or uses all zeros is automatically blocked.

I have noticed a drop off in the number of robo calls over time so perhaps my number is being removed from some lists.

Received 4 calls in two hours.    No message left. When I called back I went straight to VM.    VERY suspicious.    Being on the no call list isn't working here.    Is it a scam?

Go to Ebay and buy one of those Caller Ids Model 2008E for under $7 and if you do not know who is calling don't pick up ther phone. A lot of these calls are phone number brokers who call to find out if you are a 'live' telelphone number. When thay find that you pick up the phone call all of the time, your number is sold to telemrketers. Get with it folks!!!

I just received a call from this number and got a recorded message asking for a specific person.    If I was not that person then I should hang up, which I did.
