Pushy, obnoxious individual representing himself as "Tom" calling from Amvets. When I asked to be placed on the do not call list, he smugly replied "we don't have to do that" the set right back in with a sales pitch of some kind. I work overnights in the medical field, and am required to leave my phone on for the weeks that I am on call, and these A-holes keep waking me up in the middle of my "night" for no good reason. When I tried to explain this to him, he got very belligerent and kept talking over me, so I hung up. No sooner had I closed my eyes again, A-hole Tom called me back to badger me some more. I have no idea whether he really was calling from Amvets, but regardless, I will NEVER give anything to Amvets again as long as I live, and would advise everyone else not to give them anything either, since this nightmare scenario has been a recurring phenomenon every six months or so for several years now. Amvets tak note: whether or not you are required to abide by the do not call registry, it would behoove you to do so, since people like "Tom" are doing irreparable damage to your brand, and thanks to him, I intend to help that along.

Infotree recruiting. Indian company based in New Delhi, India, recruiting for US-based positions. I do not deal with such non-US companies as I wish to keep US money in the US. There are plenty of US-based recruiting companies trying to fill these same US-based contract positions. www.infotreeservice.com

Caller was a man using intimidating voice, left message saying a "claim" was submitted to his office and that he needs me to call him to verify my home and work address so that the "claim" can be delivered to me. He also said that I "have been charged" because of a "claim" filed, and that if I want to settle this directly with the maker of the claim to call 855-825-6747. He ended the message by saying, "You have been notified." My guess is a bill collector / collection agency. No I'm not calling them or giving them any of my info. I would be more likely to respond to a caller who is straight up: "I'm calling from ____ company about your past due balance / money owed," etc. I refuse to respond to the tactics this jerk was using.
I seriously have no idea what this man said. He mumbled a bunch of stuff and then gave his phone number. I've since added his number to my blocked callers list. Seriously not someone who needs my number!
