Scam.... They said they were collecting for a bounced check to my local tax collector.    I do not own property so I have no dealings with the tax collector and would never write them a check.

Called me to ask for service at a hair salon, asked if I would bill for the service for a water heater problem.
He did not sound professional at all and put me off when I asked for a contract and a deposit for the work or any future work until some credit could be established then hung up after saying someone else was calling about this problem.
Do not trust this person or business!
He did not offer anything that a proffesional    business would. If you get any such call ask if they have a DBA in the state you are in and if they are licensed, if they are a corporation, LLC then look it up on the states web site and license look up. Get a deposit and a contract before starting any work for anybody!!! Plus Googling this number should have hit on a business name.

I don't know what this bastard is thinking, but he ought to know that this is the age of the informed consumer and these calls are so idiotic. He leaves personal information on voicemails, which is a serious offense and he threatens people with jail time and legal action? This idiot has even invented a phony law office and he expects people to believe his bullsh!t? Notice how he never clearly states that he is calling from a law office, he jumbles his words so no one can clearly state that he is making false claims. This is no doubt a third party collection effort that has acquired the debt for a discount and is trying to collect on it. This is how he has your personal info. I say don't pay the debt and be as disrespectful to this guy as you can. He is insulting our intelligence and being the lowest piece of trash scumbag on the face of this planet. For that, Mr. Royce, we give you a great big SCREW YOU!!!

Comes up on Spokeo as Telemarketeer, not surprisingly. We're on the way toward eliminating our landline, mostly due to this unceasing telemarketing crap over more than a decade. Long ago used up our carrier's Call Block allotment, turning off the ringer and sending everything to voice mail just to get some peace in the home. Thanks FTC/DNC List ... another governmental waste pit.
