Had several calls from a local number (909-915-2007), but I never answered the phone. Finally today they left a voicemail.    She was speaking so fast that i could not understand what she was saying until... She says "please call me back at
1-800-581-1515". Seriously she slowed her words, so that I could hear this call back number very clear. I did not call back because it seems very Strange and Fishy.

Call from Century Link about a POSSIBLE problem with your acct.    Mine was returned mail, imagine that postal service made a mistake. (Sarcasm)    Safe to answer not collections, not a sales call. I called Century Link (different#) customer service even called the # links back to Century Link

I purchased airline tickets from an overseas vendor.

PNC security had called from 800-225-5618. I didn't answer, but called my local branch first and they verified that it was a legit number. Then, I called 800-225-5618 back to the automated system to verify those purchases using my new credit card.

I'm happy they did so...looking out for me and them.

original caller id was 215-200-0000 but then switched to 800-279-9179.        Someone calling about student loan consolidation. 3X a day for 2 weeks! I DO NOT have student loans!!! I called the 800# back and asked to be removed. We will see.        Grrrr

These people call at least once daily and have been for about 3 months. I finally listened long enough to get a live person and when I asked why they call every day, she hung up,. They are after my son or grandson, who used my phone number,

Great Article. I had a good experience filling forms online and happy to share it with you. If you ever need to fill out a form, here is a really useful tool. Very easy to navigate and use.

Being very cautious with this type of thing, and since there were so many conflicting answers about this 1-800 # on this website, I was forced to contact PNC using the # on the back of my card. I had made two purchases late last night, and one was fairly expensive, so they were just verifying it was me.    The customer service rep made few clicks to reset everything and I was good to go!    I had even received an email from one of the purchase sites by that time indicating my card was not accepted and when I re-verified my card info, it was already corrected on their end!    So whatever PNC did worked and worked quickly!

When I told them I have been unemployed for over 1.5 years, the guy just hung up on me.    WTF dude.    How rude.    It seems that I was able to send a text message to this number (I didn't receive any errors when I sent the texts asking why he hung up on me).    Why call from a cell phone?    Arsewipes.

It might be about a credit card you have through
Bank of America.    Check it and be careful.
