Called my house claiming our computer was sending viruses, my girlfriend asked for the serial number of the system that was "sending viruses", and the stereotypical Indian accented person asked why she was making his job difficult. She hung up.

About a week and a half later, I answered the phone and an Indian accented person, that sounded like they were in a crowded room with 20+ people, all talking at the same time, asked for someone that did not live at my house. I explained he had the wrong number, but he quickly cut me off and relayed our phone number. I confirmed that he had reached that number, but there was nobody with that name associated with it. He changed the subject and said he was calling about my "Windows Computer", I chuckled figuring it was a scam. He immediately got defensive and yelled "Vhy are jou laughing sir, dis is for serious". I just busted out laughing and said "don't fu*%!ng call here". It turns out we missed a call from this same number the day before, but they just hung up on our answering machine.

I didn't know about my girlfriend having to deal with them until I told her about the person making me laugh.

Have not received any calls in about 2 weeks, fingers crossed they got the message.

We receive these calls a lot in the last 8 months. This time, the call came from 989-917-0658. The callers insist they are not scams, but they are, telling us we have problems with our Windows computer. Sure, yeah, right. And how do they know?!? I rarely use my Windows machine.

This time, this guy just kept repeating, "My name is Peter, and I am calling from a Windows computer center," (with thick accent), and when confronted, said, "No, this is not a scam." Ha! (Deleted my expletives.) I'm so tired of this.

Do not fall for this. I am trying to think of something to do the next time I get the call. >:-/

As soon as this person with an accent straight from a convenience store said he was calling about my Windows computer, I let him know that I know more about computers than he ever will, that I know he's trying to run a scam on me, and that he was in violation of federal law, and that I would be reporting it. He hung up sometime during this tirade.

How exciting that a total stranger in California wants to help me track down the problem reports which he says my fouled-up computer is sending to his "Windows Technical Service." Hmm .. how much time do we have to tie him up? https://www.allclearid.com/blog/from-the-allclear-investigators-watch-out-for-the-ammyy-com-scam

I have received a multitude of calls in the last week from VOIP #s, I guess, usually ignored, and today from V04241433190003 989-917-0658.

Repeat advice: Never let a stranger talk you into visiting his/her/hiser web site or loading unknown software.

A callback to this number gets a message "Our office is currently closed. Please call back Monday through Friday 7 AM to 4 PM Pacific time." The number is listed in Midland Michigan. Obviously a test call looking for valid numbers to harass. A complaint is being filed.

This is a robo call telling me about their credit card help. This is obviously from a random generated call list. Your site indicated the call originated from the Lansing area. The area code is wrong for Lansing.

This number and numbers in association with this number have been calling the landline for the past several weeks. Sometimes several times a day. They don't leave a message on the answering machine. The caller ID says it's from ATT. We are listed on the National Do Not Call Registry and wish the company would respect it.
