Area numbers starting with 01632 are fake numbers and are only used in the film industry. Do not answer the phone.

This code is shown as Meriden in W Midlands so why it says above ,not sure.
But I get many of these calls with sometimes only 2 or 3 figures showing.
Obviously these clowns can display whatever number they wish.
I answered this to be given details of PPI message ,to continue to press 5 or to be deleted from database press 9.
I pressed 9 but did not speak to anyone,so don't know who rang.
Very annoying as this code 01676    seemed to be genuine, & one I    could take Ofgem action against.
Alas no !
Had several recently with caller display showing out of area

Caller asked for macintosh when I replied he said name again and made a weird noise then he hung up. I called the number only to find it is not recognised. Looked up the area code and it was for Market Drayton. However looking on other sites it seems to be coming from abroad. Do not answer if called by this number as some people have been verbally abused.

The caller claimed to be calling from Vanquis Bank.    I refused to give any personal information. Phoned Vanquis bank who
denied all knowledge but went quiet when I told them I was fed up of them giving out my personal details to third parties.

Caller claimed to be from some "Accident help line" on a very fuzzy what was obviously international call line. Registered with TPS, but obvously this scammer couldn't care less.

Dialled 1477 as soon as he hung up to register the call as malicious.

Didn't answer phone but checked via 1471 to see who had called. Didn't recognise the number but thought it was Manchester area. Dialed it back - my family live Manchester and some members could be hospitalized. The number was dead! Checked via Google and found it to be a scam number.

Someone with a heavy indian accent, claiming to be called "Steve" from "Network Pension Advisors" asked me if I had a "Frozen Pension". I wound him up for a few minutes and then hung up.
