same as the rest my PC is infected theres a message being sent from my computer to microsoft. He wanted me to open a file i did not i let him say what ever he said with me constantly interupting him with stupid questions hahahaha and when he finally finished i butted in with my 4 pennith telling him i did know a thing or 2 about computers and that what he had told me was a lie that microsoft never ever call us about faults with our windows (stupid man) He wanted £200. they both men i spoke to were indian sounding the second man was called James and suppose to be a faults engineer. according to him my AVG will not stop my internal software parts from getting damaged. They rang my son in law 2 weeks ago and my computerless mother about 6 months ago i took that call as well and really p-$sed them off with my babbling now that was fun just act think and ask them if it will effect your kettle toaster and Tv! I kept him on the phone for over 20 mins just talking in a thick way about virus's effecting my toaster and was it infectious would anyother items get infected like the VCR and phone!

Call from 02538020308 said his name was Jack and he worked for a company called Windows Care who were service providers for Microsoft.    I said i had an Apple Mac and he replied "No you don't Mam, please log on and I'll show you the virus".    They ring me every couple of days, very annoying.

I have just been contacted by a female with an indian sounding accent from this number - she told me she was from 'Windows service centre-PC care, Florida' - I nearly believed her because, by fluke, my PC was playing up (which I have since rectified myself following trouble shooting instructions which were facebooked to me by a friend). Caller told me my PC is "very badly affected by infection" (I lost count of number of times she told me this) and I would need to pay £99 to activate licence back into computer to keep it secure for 12 months - as I nearly fell for it, but didn't, I am feeling rather happy (and a tad smug) that I have not been ripped off!!

My 86 year old mother who doesn't own a computer is continually getting calls from this number, but when I try to ring who ever it is on it, the number isn't recognised.

How can we stop this because it is frightening my mother.

Also just had a phone call from this number, First a woman phoned and then a guy who i believe were Indian. Each caller said they were from Microsoft Services and that we had Malware and Spyware on our system and Windows 7 had asked them to contact us to go through a series of checks on our computer. When i explained ot both of them that I was unable to look at my computer they became abusive.    On passing the next call to my daughter she challenged them to provide details of the particular file they were looking for and queried why Microsoft Essentials wouldn't pick this up.    She terminated the call and 1471 gave this number, googled and found this site.,    Whatever you do, do NOT give them any information of your computer!!!

Just had a phone call from this number, googled it and came up with this site - very similar experiences. The guy (sounded Indian) said he was from Microsoft Services and there had been a problem with my computer. He got quite annoyed when I said I couldn't go to my computer right now then I hung up. He rang back straight away and was very angry saying that they were going to block my computer from using the Internet as I'd corrupted their systems and server!! Told him I didn't have my laptop with me, it was at work (lie) and he kept asking me to get it! Told him I couldn't and he said he'd phone later and put phone down!!
Having read the posts on here I'll certainly be ready if he does phone back later!!!

Had call from 02538020308 but thankfully, have a great intercept system called Truecall.    Stops caller at remote server when number not recognied and sks them to leave a message, guess what, this caller was a bit tongue-tied and hung up.    System leaves note of number but does not ring your home phone. Best way to deal with these 'idiots' who waste your time!

they call and no one is there. when they call they claim either to be microsoft or sorting out a long term claim.    When you turn them down they turn nasty.    Best just to lay the phone down and walk away so they get a phone bill.

Number has called a few times. Previously calling themselves Micro Assist and now Windows online Services.    According to them they are the Microsoft services centre (As if) .    Major scammers who want to corrupt & get remote access to your computer.Acted the confused female for 10 minutes - he then finally got bored of my ineptitude and hung up.

I also received a call from this number last night, which is one of many I have been receiving for a long time. He told me he was from Windows Support Centre and that they had received information that there was a problem with my pc and was I in front of it.    I kept telling that there is nothing wrong with my laptap and that it was scam and I was going to report him to the police.    He kept on telling me it had been corrupted and that he would show me where. I said that Windows or Microsoft dont cold call people and that it was all the press and internet that it is a scam.    I started to get annoyed with him but he still wouldnt go.    In the end I said I was finishing the call and reporting him to the police and he just said to me "good luck with your corrupted laptop" and I hung up. As it happens my laptop has just been repaired because it had a virus on it but I bet he didnt know that.    I wasnt about to tell him either!!

I wish someone could put a stop to these calls.    I had also reported a previous number to TPS but without the name of the company there was nothing they could do.
