060 numbers are the new Vodacom numbers as I recently purchase a cellphone for my nephew and he also got an 060 number with the starter pack. Make a case against this guy and let the police trace him via Vodacom.

I thought I would answer this to see if there was anybody at the other end. Surprise there was ladies voice,I could hear others in the back ground. She said 'Hello' and I said 'Hello' back (in a deep voice) then she hung up. Not had this one before but had others like it . Really getting fed up to receiving these type of calls on my mobile 6 to date all different numbers.

The caller    repeatedly called me over 3 days (over 10 times).    they used the number above and also used 07607339957.    They kept repeating they were from the microsoft technical team and that i had a critical virus on my system.    When I asked them for names, departments and contact details so that i could verify it with Microsoft, they became aggressive each time and said if i didnt log on and give them my details then they would revoke my Microsoft licence and render my computer useless.

3 calls within one minute at 1305 today, all of which registered on 1571 message service, all of which were silent. Except for this website, no record of this number in UK [where I am] or anywhere else, [according to Google] so will not call them. Our number is ex-directory, and not listed.

Person does not speak - do not ring back may be a scam

I had 2 calls on the home phone yesterday.    Called it back and it says "this number isn't recognised .. blah, blah, blah" so I blocked it anyway.    Sick fed up of my mobile ringing and my home phone ringing with people claiming to be from Microsoft, PPI, 3 Mobile ... Aaaaargh !     It's got to the point now where if I don't know the number or it comes up with a weird number or unknown caller, I just don't answer it.     If it's important they will leave a message.    99.9% of the time they don't.

Rang at 0915. Ignored call as not recognised by our phone system. No message left, what a surprise. Suspect it's yet another scam. Blocked the number so now the phone will not ring. Job done!

The people that call from this number are part of a scam. They claim to be from an accident and claims company. They tell you they were notified by a company that an accident took place in your property in the last three years. Of course, this is completely baseless. When I asked for their law society legal registered company number, they refused to tell me. This is completely illegal (making unsolicisted calls to private numbers to attempt to get clients). I informed them of this and suddenly I was hung up on! These types of "companies" are completely dragging the legal profession down and should be avoided at all costs.

... Microsoft has nothing to do with this scam call.
They will ask you to go to your computer as "they
have detected a virus" - DO NOT DO SO. HANG UP AND BEFORE YOU DO, TELL THEM EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK OF THEIR CALL !!
