These people just called my number twice claiming to be Ofcom then Optcom - told them to 'get lost' on both occasions as they didn't know what they were talking about.    They used English names but very strong Indian accents.

This is a scam to remote control your computer.they ask you to type fastsupport.com in your browser after telling you that your computer is infected by guiding you through a number of sequences.

Tried to get access to my computer. Said he was from the Microsoft office technical department, gave a London address but spoke with a Mumbai accent. As soon as I let on    I new a bit about computers he hung up. Governments need to do more to stop this type of scamming.

Received today about getting my windows computer from packing up. I believe it is an often used scam whereby the unwary give access to their computer to the caller who in turn infects their computer and then highlights the fault that they caused and then charge a fee for removing it. As the caller is outside the jurisdictional area they would not care that you were registered with the tps and they probably use the number until they get lots of complaints and then just use another one.
